About the Role
As a Drill Bit Repair Technician within our Energy Products and Services division, you will play a key role in maintaining and restoring the performance of Fixed Cutter drill bits. The position requires a hands-on mechanical background and strong experience in assembly and repair, working from detailed engineering drawings while strictly adhering to NOV’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.
You will be part of a dedicated team focused on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement, ensuring that all tools meet operational standards before being returned to service.

Key Responsibilities
Assemble and repair Fixed Cutter drill bits according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Perform torch brazing using oxy/acetylene and apply hardfacing using flame spray techniques.
Conduct precision grinding using handheld tools and CNC Erfurt grinders.
Maintain awareness of workload priorities and ensure all deadlines are met efficiently.
Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations and internal policies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times.
Contribute to process improvements and support other departments as required.
Deliver high standards of workmanship and uphold NOV’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills
Essential Qualifications
City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in an engineering-related discipline, or equivalent vocational training.
Proven experience working within an engineering or mechanical assembly environment.
Knowledge of mechanical assembly, torch brazing, and grinding operations.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with welding or related fabrication processes.
Prior experience in oilfield equipment repair or similar heavy industry environments
